The 26th Shanghai International Film Festival, directed by the State Film Administration and sponsored by China Central Radio and Television and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, opened today (14th), kicking off a 10-day (June 14th-23rd) light and shadow event.
The theme of this year's Shanghai International Film Festival is "City of Movies", with more than 3,700 works from 105 countries and regions registered for the competition. After selection, 50 entries from 29 countries and regions entered the five major categories of the Golden Goblet Award, including 38 world premiere films.

During the festival, there will be Golden Goblet Award Selection, Golden Goblet Asian Newcomer Unit, Golden Goblet Short Films, French Film Week, "Belt and Road" Film Week, Mini Film Unit, Film Project Venture Capital, Golden Goblet Forum, Film Screenings and other related activities. . Among them, the "Chinese Film and Television Night" will be held at the Shanghai International Media Port on June 16. It will focus on the theme of "Chinese Story in the World of Light and Shadow" and spread the Chinese film and television industry to the world from the perspective of the main station.
