Where has summer begun?
Judging from the national summer progress map launched by China Weather Network, as of May 15, the summer map has covered most of South China and parts of Jiangnan and Southwest China, and extends northward through Henan to parts of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Xinjiang. , Some areas of Inner Mongolia have also entered summer. It is still spring in parts of Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang and other places, as well as the eastern part of Northwest China and most of Northeast China; it is still winter in high-altitude areas of Xinjiang, Qinghai and Tibet.
Summer comes early in many places this year
This year, summer begins significantly earlier in some areas such as southern and northern my country. According to Shi Yan, a meteorological analyst at China Weather Network, among provincial capital cities, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Haikou, and Nanning have the earliest summer onset time. They are all more than 20 days earlier than normal; Shijiazhuang, Beijing, Jinan, Zhengzhou and other places usually enter summer in the second half of mid-May, but this year generally entered the threshold of summer in early May, about 10 days earlier.
Why does summer start so early in North China?
Why does summer start earlier in the North China Plain this year than in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River? Shi Yan explained: "Affected by cold air and frequent rainy processes, so far, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Nanjing should have completed the transition from spring to summer in mid-May. Summer has not yet begun in places such as Hefei and Hefei; however, it has been mainly sunny recently in some areas of North China, and the temperature has soared, meeting the summer standards in advance. "
The high-temperature "roast" will appear!
The territory of summer will expand significantly later this week. From the 17th to the 19th, a wide range of high temperatures and hot weather will push North China, Huanghuai and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River into summer. During this process, the North China Plain, Fenwei Plain, and the southern Xinjiang Basin will have high temperatures above 35°C, with some areas reaching 37°C or above. Taiyuan, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Jinan and other cities may have their first high temperature day this year, and Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou may have high temperatures for three consecutive days.
As summer enters, hot weather will increase, and high temperature events will occur from time to time. The public is advised to pay more attention to nowcasts and early warning information, do a good job in heatstroke prevention and cooling, and try to avoid going out during high temperature periods to prevent the occurrence of heat stroke and heat stroke.
