Recently, the movie " Mom and Seven Days ", which has won multiple international awards, will land at the Hongqiao Art Center on May 12, "Mother's Day". The movie "Mom and Seven Days" tells the story of the life that a 12-year-old girl Xiao Xian and her two sisters experienced in the seven days before and after their mother passed away due to dystocia in 1992 in rural southwest China. These seven days are like a miniature theater of life, with three heavy farewells and two joys of rebirth, reflecting the impermanence and tenacity of the cycle of life. These little things that happened in the countryside where the soil is fragrant and chickens and dogs smell each other are not only true records of ordinary life, but also poetic interpretations of the philosophy of life and death.
It is understood that "Mom and Seven Days" is the debut film of Li Dongmei, a powerful Chinese screenwriter and director. This film has been screened at the 77th Venice Film Festival, the 44th Gothenburg International Film Festival, the 13th Beijing International Film Festival, the 4th Pingyao International Film Festival, the 45th Hong Kong International Film Festival, and the 25th Busan International Film Festival. Awards and nominations at the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival. Among them, it also won the "Ingmar Bergman" Best International Film Debut Award at the 44th Gothenburg International Film Festival.
