We also felt the strong earthquakes in Taipei. When I was woken up by the earthquake in my sleep, I could even hear the obvious sound of the building shaking.
From last night to this morning, more than 100 earthquakes have occurred in Taiwan.
Main Station reporter Sun Yutong: In fact, from 17:08 last night to now, more than 100 earthquakes have occurred in Taiwan, 14 of which were above magnitude 5. times, 2 times above level 6. On the evening of the 22nd, the Taiwan Meteorological Department stated that the frequent and continuous earthquakes in Hualien from last night to now are all aftershocks of the Hualien earthquake on April 3 at the beginning of this month. So far, there have been more than 1,000 aftershocks.
Two dangerous buildings collapsed and tilted, but no casualties were reported.
Headquarters reporter Sun Yutong: The strong earthquake in Hualien on April 3 killed 17 people and injured 1,155 people. Two people are still missing. It also caused local damage in Hualien County. Multiple buildings were damaged. After the earthquake, there were 54 dangerous buildings that were listed on the red list and needed to be demolished. Two earthquakes of magnitude 6 or above early this morning also caused two dangerous buildings to collapse and tilt.
