Jiangsu:

8 fans were deceived by "ticket agents"

Recently, the Luoxi Police Station of the High-tech Zone Branch of Changzhou Public Security Bureau arrested two people who pretended to be "official ticket agents" to defraud netizens who wanted to buy concert tickets. The criminals combined 8 cases involving the concerts of many popular singers. These two criminals used the official ticketing logo as their avatar on various social platforms, set their usernames to **ticketing agents, and took the initiative to send private messages asking if they had any ticketing needs.

At the end of March this year, Ms. Hu from the Luoxi Police Station jurisdiction wanted to go to the Changzhou Phoenix Legend Concert, but she couldn't get a ticket. While browsing short videos, Ms. Hu received a private message from a Douyin netizen nicknamed "**Ticketing". The other party said they had internal tickets for the Phoenix Legend offline concert. At first, the two contacted them through WeChat to purchase them, and then paid a deposit of 200 yuan in the form of a red envelope on the Taobao trading platform.

After that, "Ticketing" asked Ms. Hu for her personal identity information and claimed that she would wait until the ticket was successfully snatched before letting her pay the balance. Shortly afterwards, the other party told Ms. Hu that the ticket purchase information had been entered into the system and sent a screenshot. Ms. Hu was dubious, but at the urging of the other party, Ms. Hu, who wanted the tickets, transferred the balance of 850 yuan to the other party in the form of a Taobao red envelope. A few days later, Ms. Hu not only could not check the order, but also could not contact the other party.

After realizing that she had been deceived, Ms. Hu quickly called the police for help. Through continuous investigation, the police handling the case quickly identified the suspects Yuan and Wei, and arrested the two with the assistance of the Guangxi police. According to Yuan's account, he has recently "succumbed" to 8 fans using the same technique. Currently, the suspects Yuan and Wei have been criminally detained by the police in accordance with the law on suspicion of fraud.

Tianjin:

He had no concert tickets and

defrauded more than 700,000 yuan with nothing.

Looking for the stars and the moon, he finally came to his idol's concert. "Countdown 3, 2, 1" "Lack of tickets to register!" In just a few seconds, the concert tickets were sold out. When Ms. Zhou, a fan, was still dejected because it was hard to get a ticket, her phone suddenly received a message: "Want to go to the concert? I have a ticket."

A netizen who had not been in contact for a long time found Ms. Zhou through WeChat and said that she knew the internal staff and could provide concert tickets and issue tickets on the official platform throughout the process to ensure safety and reliability. "I want a ticket for the infield." "No problem, the price for the infield is..." Although she had never met Xiao Hu, in order to catch a glimpse of her idol, Ms. Zhou made the transaction without much thought. As the performance date was getting closer, Ms. Zhou, who had not received the tickets for a long time, was very anxious and hurriedly contacted netizens to inquire about the tickets. The other party explained that internal tickets required "special operations", which were difficult and required a certain amount of time, so Ms. Zhou was asked to wait patiently.

The day of the concert arrived. Ms. Zhou, holding on to her last glimmer of hope, kept urging for tickets. But until the last spectator entered the scene, Ms. Zhou failed to get the ticket, and the other party completely lost contact.

Frustrated, Ms. Zhou called 110 for the police. After receiving the alarm, the Crime Investigation Detachment of the Hexi Branch of the Public Security Bureau quickly launched an investigation. Based on the clues provided by Ms. Zhou, and after careful analysis and interviews, the police successfully identified the suspect's hiding place and captured him in one fell swoop.

According to the confession of the suspect Hu, he accidentally discovered that the price of concert tickets was very high on the Internet, so he started to use his brain. Hu found some "official" pictures from the Internet, posted them in his circle of friends, and falsely claimed that he knew insiders and could buy tickets at a higher price. At the same time, Hu induced the victim to avoid the platform for transactions. Once he succeeded, he would go and "vote" empty. After investigation, it was found that Hu had defrauded many people, involving a total amount of more than 700,000 yuan.

At present, Hu has been subject to criminal coercive measures by the public security organs in accordance with the law on suspicion of fraud, and the case is under further review.

Buy concert tickets online

Be wary of these scams

Routine 1: Falsely claiming to have internal channels

Criminals claim on the online platform that there are official ticket sales channels, or that insiders can buy concert tickets, thereby attracting fans. When fans are ready to buy tickets, they will ask for payment for various reasons such as deposits and hard work fees, and even say that they have to pay again before they can issue tickets, in order to defraud more money. By the time the fans discovered that they had been deceived and asked for a refund, they had already been blocked.

Routine 2: "Tearfully transfer tickets" On the eve of the

concert, a lot of "sad people" will always appear out of thin air on major social platforms. Their excuses are surprisingly consistent: "I broke up with my partner and don't want to go." "Tearful transfer without price increase"... It seems very "sincere", but in fact it is all a fraud method by criminals. Criminals often chat with victims on some second-hand trading websites and block them after receiving the transfer.

Routine 3: Send fake website links

Criminals lurk in various group chats on social platforms in advance and publish information about concert tickets. After fans "take the bait" and add friends, criminals will avoid formal trading platforms, send fake website links to fans, and ask for payment through the website. Most fans are eager to buy tickets and pay directly, but they fall into a trap.

Routine 4: Selling high imitation and counterfeit tickets

As the opening is approaching, there will often be some people selling "scalper tickets" around the concert venue. Not only do these tickets have a high premium, but most of them are high imitation tickets. When fans get ready to enter the venue with their tickets, they realize that they have been deceived.
