On the morning of April 18, on the Xiate Ancient Trail deep in the Tianshan Mountains, the police at the Pochengzi Border Inspection Station of the Aksu Border Management Detachment in Xinjiang discovered a snow leopard digging a hole to mark its territory while conducting a routine inspection of the surveillance area.

The snow leopard in the video has a strong body, walking leisurely on the gravel covered with dead leaves, sniffing the surrounding scent carefully.

The snow leopard used its hind legs to dig a hole in the ground to mark its territory, and then walked swaggering towards the surveillance camera. After looking at the camera carefully, it stretched its front paws to the trunk of a big tree nearby and sharpened its claws. Satisfied, the snow leopard turned around and walked out of the surveillance screen.

Since the surveillance video shooting location was only a few hundred meters away from the nearest construction site on the Xiate Ancient Road Section of the G219 Wen-Zhao Highway, the police from the Pochengzi Border Inspection Station went to the site where the snow leopard was found to conduct an on-site inspection and popularize wildlife protection regulations to the construction workers.

Thanks to the many ecological and environmental protection measures taken in the Tianshan Mountains, snow leopards, the "King of Snow Mountains", appear increasingly frequently.
