On the afternoon of April 2, the press conference for the 11th Hong Kong International Music Festival Shandong General Exhibition was held in Jinan.
The Hong Kong International Music Festival is directed by the Publicity, Culture and Sports Department of the Liaison Office of the Central Government in Hong Kong and the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government. It is organized by the Art Orchestra Association, the Schoenfeld International Music Association and the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Music. It is an international music event jointly organized by more than 30 international universities, including the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Australia and the Vancouver Conservatory of Music in Canada. Through different types of activities such as music camps, study tours, competitions, concerts, master classes, and seminars, it attracts musical talents from home and abroad to gather in Hong Kong, China, and promotes international music and cultural interaction.
The Hong Kong International Music Festival Shandong General Exhibition is hosted by Shandong Performing Arts Group as the guiding unit, and is co-organized by Shandong Philharmonic Orchestra, Shandong Provincial Performance Co., Ltd., and Shandong Provincial Performing Arts Education Center. Yu Jiang, general manager of Shandong Performing Arts Group, said in his speech: "This event is an important platform to deepen international cultural cooperation and showcase the charm of Shandong culture. It will provide an international exchange stage for groups who love music and art in our province. We hope that all localities will actively organize competitions , create and display more colorful and contemporary music works, and use this international music festival to further promote cultural exchanges and cooperation between Shandong, Hong Kong and even the world.”
At the scene, Yu Jiang, general manager of Shandong Performing Arts Group, Shandong. Li Baihua, director of the Philharmonic Orchestra, Wei Fanjian, dean of the School of Music of Shandong Normal University, Sun Jianbin, vice chairman of the Shandong Musicians Association, Chen Lei, vice chairman of the Shandong Musicians Association, Duan Wen, deputy director of the School of Music of Dezhou University, and deputy director of the School of Music of Jining University President Zhao Xiaolin and Luan Yi, president of the Cello Professional Committee of the Shandong Musical Association, jointly took the stage to launch this performance in Shandong.
It is reported that the Hong Kong International Music Festival has been in existence for 11 years since its establishment in 2013. Hundreds of thousands of people have participated in the event, including nearly 150 countries and regions including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Russia. In previous competitions, players selected from the Shandong Division went to Hong Kong to exchange, learn and compete with players from all over the world, and won many awards.
