China Youth Daily Client News (China Youth Daily·China Youth Daily reporter Shen Jiequn) Recently, it was produced by Tencent Video and Xinli TV, directed by Deng Ke, with the original author Jiu Lu Feixiang as the screenwriter, Zhao Liying as the producer, The TV series " and Fengxing " starring Zhao Liying, Lin Gengxin is currently being broadcast.

"Walking with the Phoenix" is adapted from Jinjiang Literature City Jiulu Feixiang's novel "The King Is Here". It tells the story of Shen Li (played by Zhao Liying), the blue blue king of the spiritual world, who fell to the earth due to an injury after running away from marriage. By chance, she met a man who came down to earth to experience life. The last ancient god Xingzhi (played by Lin Gengxin), the two traveled across the three realms and joined hands to start a new mythical love story full of fireworks and majestic power.

Yang Bingyin started composing the soundtrack for "Walking with the Phoenix" long before the filming of the show officially started.

More than two years ago, when the script of "Traveling with the Phoenix" was just completed, Yang Bingyin had already started related music planning work. How to determine the main creative direction of music? Yang Bingyin said that the key is to start from the character characteristics of Shen Li and find the correct "musical image".

Yang Bingyin discussed this in detail with the producer, director, and Zhao Liying, who plays Shen Li. The conclusion is that the key point to grasp is: Shen Li is a "god", not a mortal. To create a fairy tale The reality of the world must show the "divinity" in Shen Li. Therefore, using retro musical instruments like chimes, coupled with the form of singing, is very suitable to show the "god" identity of this character.

In addition, Shen Li’s personality is characterized by a sense of responsibility and drive, so she is very suitable for composing music with suona. "The explosiveness of Suona will be very strong. Just like the domineering feeling of 'I am here' at the core of this drama, it needs to be able to be displayed immediately in one second."

Yang Bingyin said frankly that from the first day of collision and creation, the producer, director and producer Zhao Liying all wanted to create a musical image of King Bicang for everyone. "Her boldness, determination, valor, and thunder can be felt by everyone. In "War Hymn of the Blue Sky", she presents a mythical and epic sense that highlights the unique characteristics of "Walking with the Phoenix" and inherits Eastern aesthetics. I hope this soundtrack It can convey the beauty and spirit of Chinese culture to more people."

As for the other protagonist in "Walking with the Phoenix" - the ancient god Xingzhi (played by Lin Gengxin) who once transformed into a mortal Xingyun, Yang Bingyin believed that the concept of "ancient god" should be emphasized more when planning the music. "He is calm and composed, and has everything in mind. Every time he makes a big move, he can probably solve it with a wave of his hand." Yang Bingyin hoped that the soundtrack for this character would sound "both domineering and ancient", so he chose the suitable music presentation form to be Mongolian long tune and humai.

In recent years, music with oriental aesthetics and epic feel has been deeply loved and followed by the younger generation of audiences. Yang Bingyin was quite touched by this. "I think the so-called oriental aesthetics and epic feeling stem from our national self-confidence. Our Chinese musical instruments have their own very distinctive characteristics - this characteristic can make everyone get into the mood quickly, and it also has a sense of history, which can make people The human body realizes the eternity of history.”

Yang Bingyin pointed out that when creating oriental epic music, on the one hand, they will take Chinese instruments as the core, but they are not limited to the use of Chinese instruments.

"We will use all available means to assist Chinese musical instruments. For example, we may add some electronic music to assist. In some cases, we may cooperate with the symphony, that is to say, at the level of means , it’s more about being able to make some innovations in the methods of use, making our traditional Chinese musical instruments more prominent and obvious.”

In addition, Yang Bingyin also said with a smile that the job of creating TV series soundtracks has “become involuntarily”. , because the audience pays more and more attention to the quality of music.

"When the audience is free or has no time to watch a drama, they may need to listen to music. Music can bring them back to the time and world when they watched the drama. The audience likes this feeling very much. So our music Now, in addition to supporting the plot of the film, the role of the carrier also needs to play a role in arousing the audience's memories of watching the drama."

Yang Bingyin believes that although the production of film and television drama soundtracks is "voluntarily", it is a good thing for the industry and can bring everyone together. Practitioners are more devoted to creating, not the same, but constantly stimulating everyone to create more unique and high-quality music works.
