March 27th is World Theater Day. On the occasion of World Theater Day, the reporter went to Fuziling Village, Heshun County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province to visit a Xiangqiang opera that was born in, grew up in, and passed down from the countryside.
It is said that Fuziling Xianqiang came from Hebei. After being introduced, it was integrated with local folk songs and dialects to form a unique style. In June 2011, Fuziling Xianqiang was included in the third batch of intangible cultural heritage list of Shanxi Province.
This group of Fuziling villagers, who are over fifty years old, use their youth and decades of perseverance, and rely on the power of word of mouth to sing a good opera that is rooted in the local area.
The drama ended, and they turned back into ordinary, out-and-out farmers on the stage. Deep in the Taihang Mountains, we protect and watch the warmth and culture rooted in the countryside.
