Starting from March 15th, "Living Water Channels—Ten Years of Comprehensive Art Practice Exhibition in Zhejiang Province" will be held at the China Academy of Art Museum. This exhibition, hosted by the Zhejiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Academy of Art, comprehensively displays the practical achievements of Zhejiang artists in the creation of comprehensive materials in the past 10 years since the establishment of the Comprehensive Art Committee of the Zhejiang Artists Association. The exhibition will last until April 2.

It is reported that the Comprehensive Art Committee of Zhejiang Artists Association was officially established in 2013. After ten years of development, artists have moved from the studio to the society, and traveled from Hangzhou to Zhejiang, driving the creative power of batches of mixed-material paintings, creating excellent works one after another, and demonstrating fruitful practical results.

Zhejiang artists’ practice in mixed-material painting has yielded fruitful results, and they have always been at the forefront of the country in terms of both quantity and quality. In 2014, 28 works by Zhejiang artists were selected for the comprehensive material painting exhibition area of the 12th National Art Exhibition, and 4 works were exhibited in Beijing. In the comprehensive material painting exhibition area of the 13th National Art Exhibition in 2019, 50 works by Zhejiang artists were selected, and 15 works were exhibited in Beijing. Four works were selected for the Sixth National Youth Art Exhibition, and 13 works were selected for the Seventh National Youth Art Exhibition.

A large number of outstanding artists have emerged here, with different looks and styles, but they all show their own vitality and spirit of exploration. This is also known as the "Zhejiang phenomenon" of mixed-material painting.

Art practitioners can broaden their horizons and produce abundant works in the trend of "new era and new rhetoric" creative passion. These are exactly the directions that Zhejiang’s comprehensive art social practice has been striving for in the past ten years.

Comprehensive art is a product of the times. It was merged into a new teaching unit during the deepening of the college's education reform. It has been developed in three visual forms: plane (comprehensive painting), space (comprehensive modeling), and composite (total art). culture Research. At the same time, the academic thinking of using creation to promote foundation (from effect to cause) has never stopped.

In the face of our province’s booming industrial and commercial culture and the reform trends of “dare to be the first” and “be the first to try”, comprehensive art, as a form of research, attaches great importance to local cultural research, breaks the boundaries of painting types, and encourages cross-field pursuit of meaningful words. The creative atmosphere benefits from the good educational environment of our province (the joint participation of China Academy of Art, Academy of Fine Arts of Zhejiang Normal University, Academy of Fine Arts of Ningbo University, Lishui Celadon College and other universities). It has received strong support and help from the Chinese Artists Association, Zhejiang Artists Association, as well as local government departments, propaganda departments, the Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Artists Association.

Therefore, in the past ten years, colleagues of the Variety Arts Committee have paid great attention to listening to social needs and proactively intervened in local cultural developments. Participate in the construction of beautiful villages in Deqing, Lishui, Jinhua, Ninghai, Huangyan and other areas. Rural art galleries and art villages with local characteristics have been formed, during which multi-form exhibitions that are popular with the people have been introduced and launched, creating a positive two-way interaction and cultivating the public's hobby of collecting. The full sense of gain and the silent sharing method of moisturizing things have been recognized by the society.

Zhejiang Provincial Comprehensive Arts Committee is a new and young creative team. Many of the authors are teachers or students. Their activated new cultural imagination and desire for expression were brilliantly displayed at the 12th and 13th National Art Exhibition, the 7th National Youth Art Exhibition and the Ningbo National Comprehensive Materials Painting Biennale. Its number of exhibitors and winners are among the best in the country, and it is known as the "Zhejiang Phenomenon".

At the same time, these young authors not only achieved their staged goals in life, but also achieved many "zero record" breakthroughs for the development of local culture and the new culture of our province.

In October 2013, the Comprehensive Art Committee of the Zhejiang Artists Association was established and the first members of the Art Committee were elected.

In April 2014, "The Waking of Insects—The First Comprehensive Art Exhibition of Zhejiang Province" was successfully held at the Ningbo Art Museum.

In September 2014, the 12th National Art Exhibition of Comprehensive Material Painting Exhibition was held in Hebei. A total of 28 comprehensive material painting works from Zhejiang Province participated in the exhibition, and 4 won awards. Ranked among the top three in the country in terms of the number of selected works and the second in the number of award nominations.

In September 2018, the Academy of Fine Arts of Zhejiang Normal University established a comprehensive painting studio.

In January 2019, the second comprehensive art committee meeting of the Zhejiang Artists Association and the mobilization meeting for comprehensive material painting creation of the "13th National Art Exhibition" were held in Huzhou and the election was changed.

In September 2019, the 13th National Art Works Exhibition Comprehensive Materials Painting Exhibition was grandly held at Ningbo Art Museum. Fifty authors from our province were selected, 2 were nominated for awards, and 13 works entered Beijing, ranking among the best in the country.

In October 2019, the "Visual Intensity" Zhejiang Provincial Third Comprehensive Art Biennale was held at the Lishui Art Museum, and a picture album of the same name was published. Lishui Art Museum has also become the research and innovation base of the Comprehensive Art Committee of the Zhejiang Artists Association.
