As the only representative of the Northeastern Dragon Dance at the National Dragon Dance Conference, the stunning appearance of the Jinzhou Dragon Dance in Shanhaiguan attracted great attention from the audience and the media. The giant dragon with a total length of about 25 meters, under the guidance of the dragon beads, has a flexible and changeable formation, and nearly 40 dance postures that are both powerful and handsome, presenting a wonderful intangible cultural heritage feast to the Dragon Dance Conference.
This event invites more than 20 dragon dance and intangible cultural heritage performance teams with distinctive regional characteristics across the country to perform concentrated performances and street parades. The Jinzhou Dragon Dance with a history of more than 100 years is the only dragon dance intangible cultural heritage project in the Northeast. It has performed in Beijing many times and is known as a folk dance form with the characteristics of marine culture in southern Liaoning. In order to participate in this performance, Li Chengjia, the representative inheritor of national intangible cultural heritage, selected 14 outstanding inheritor representatives to show the "dragon dance culture" of Jinpu New District to dragon dance enthusiasts across the country.
