Cai Liang, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Office in Shanghai, said in his speech that looking back on the past year, he is very grateful to Hong Kong friends for their strong support to the activities of the Shanghai Office, which jointly promoted in-depth exchanges between Hong Kong and East China and deepened the relationship between Hong Kong people and , the friendship between Hong Kong enterprises. She also thanked various Hong Kong groups for leading many Hong Kong people to return to Hong Kong from East China to vote in last year's district council election, which fully demonstrated their love for Hong Kong and their hope for a better tomorrow for Hong Kong.
Cai Liang said that looking forward to 2024, Hong Kong must further "move into action", proactively integrate into the overall national development situation, and better align with the national development strategy. The Shanghai Office of the Hong Kong SAR Government will continue to strengthen cooperation with Shanghai and the four provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shandong. Among them, the sixth meeting of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Cooperation Conference will be held in Hong Kong in April. It is believed that the relationship between Hong Kong and Shanghai will be broader, closer and deeper.
Cai Liang introduced that the Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui-themed film exhibition will be held in late March, and many of their classic films will be broadcast. The Shanghai Office will continue to make efforts in supporting Hong Kong businessmen, serving enterprises in East China that are interested in developing in Hong Kong and overseas, assisting Hong Kong people and youth exchanges, and promoting Hong Kong culture.
Cai Liang also thanked all Hong Kong people for their strong support for the legislation of Article 23 of the Basic Law. The
