Extension of Jia Yueting's bankruptcy plan: 70% of creditors oppose the bankruptcy plan

Jia Yueting’s bankruptcy plan was postponed

reported on November 10 that (source: Titanium Media) reported to the Delaware Bankruptcy Court, and Jia Yueting announced the bankruptcy and reorganization plan. According to his plan, creditors need to do so on November 8, 2019. Vote to decide whether to agree to the plan. If 90% of creditors agree, bankruptcy reorganization will be carried out in accordance with the current plan.

However, as of November 6, only 23% of creditors agreed with Jia Yueting's proposal. Among the debtors, Ou Feiguang, an A-share listed company, put forward a clear objection. Ou Feiguang believed that Jia Yueting’s announcement of bankruptcy documents in English caused insufficient time for Chinese creditors to fully understand the bill and unable to make effective judgments.

Based on this, Jia Yueting withdrew the previously submitted bankruptcy plan and extended the voting period.
