1905 Movie Network News Director Kazuhiro Soda’s latest documentary film "The Cat of Five Spice Palace" has been shortlisted for the forum section of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival and will be released in Japan in the autumn of 2024.

Gokagu Shrine is located in Ushio, a port town on the edge of the Seto Inland Sea. Dozens of wild cats live here, so it is also called the Cat Shrine. It's a paradise for cat-loving residents and visitors, but some residents are worried about fecal matter.

This film is the 10th work in the observational film series directed by Kazuhiro Soda. It has also become the fifth film of Kazuhiro Soda to be shortlisted for the Berlin International Film Festival.
