From January 18th to 21st, Lamming Kalemro, who played the role of "Phantom" in the 25th anniversary performance of "The Phantom of the Opera", will lead a group of Broadway and London audiences for the first time. Actors from the West End musical came to China to perform in the "Reunion" concert at the Tianqiao Arts Center, singing well-known musical songs. On the evening of the 16th, the six leading actors appeared at the starring meeting held at Tianqiao Art Center to share the planning story of the concert with the audience.
The lineup of this concert is star-studded. Lemming Calemro, who has starred in "Phantom", has also played the leading role in "Les Misérables" many times; Hadley Fraser and Calemro are classic partners. In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of "The Phantom of the Opera" Playing Raul in the performance, she has also appeared several times as Javert in the West End version of "Les Misérables"; Samantha Backus played Eponine in the film version of "Les Misérables" and is currently in the West End production of "Frozen" the musical Queen Elsa in "Les Misérables"; Earl Carpenter has played Javert for more than 2,000 performances in the musical version of "Les Misérables"; Natalie Mae Paris is the original card of the hit West End musical "Six Queens" Director, and Holly Ann Hull is currently playing Christine in the West End version of The Phantom of the Opera. Except for Earl Carpenter, the other five actors came to China for the first time.
Lemming Calemro and Earl Carpenter are the directors of this concert. Calemro said that he had been planning this show three or four years ago and was eager to travel and perform with his artist friends. Now he finally got his wish. Earl Carpenter said that this is not only a "reunion" of these musical actors who have known each other for a long time, but also a "reunion" of the actors and their fans and friends for many years. In the
concert, Calemro selected 26 songs, including excerpts from the classic musicals "Phantom of the Opera", "Les Misérables", "Wicked" and "I, Don Quixote", as well as popular musical movies For the interludes in "Beauty and the Beast" and "Frozen 2", the creators also selected some excellent musicals that are not well-known to the public, such as arias from "March" and "Ham Rider". Calemro said frankly that even though all six people have many years of performance experience, this concert is still full of challenges and the actors will still feel nervous because they are all striving for perfection and bringing a better experience to the audience.
