Recently, the TV series "The Boy Who Sings the Dragon" ended on Youku. This story tells the story of the counterattack of a "problem student" in the third year of high school, and finally ended with a somewhat "unsettling" ending.
Zhou Zhaozhong, general manager of Youku Youxiang Studio, said in an interview that not only current student friends, but also young people and older people can find solutions to their life and work confusions through a so-called campus drama. ——Everyone was once a "young man with a roaring dragon".
Talking about the creation process of this drama, Zhou Zhaozhong recalled that all the main creators were fully invested and pushed themselves. During the script creation stage, the crew investigated and visited more than 300 families to understand the current educational reality, understand the current situation between parents and children, and find the common confusions and emotions of today's young people.
It is worth mentioning that for the casting of the "Class 11" young actors in the play, the crew spent more than half a year conducting auditions. They brought more than 20 young actors to Changsha, the filming location, and conducted another two months of auditions. In intensive training, each actor has to repeatedly read the script, interpret the characters, and watch reference films. During the training, he can regain the feeling of being 18 years old and find a side similar to the character.
It is reported that in 2024, Youku will continue to focus on high-quality creations and tell Chinese stories with diverse themes. It will launch reality-themed dramas such as the military drama "Eagle of the Sea" and the workplace inspirational drama "A Bright Future"; as well as the comic-book drama "Youth". "The White Horse Drunken in the Spring Breeze", the costume suspense drama "The Case of Di Gong of the Tang Dynasty", the exquisite short drama "Rebirth", "The Past on the Bianshui", etc.
