On the evening of January 3, 2024, the graduation report concert of the advanced training class for leading vocal talents in the new era (Bel Canto Special) hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism was brilliantly performed at the Beijing Concert Hall. At the concert, Chen Yongxi, a teacher from Wuhan Conservatory of Music, was awarded the "Leading Vocal Talent in the New Era" certificate issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He shared the stage with famous domestic singers and performed many works such as "Love in the Sea" and "Beijing Ode". It fully demonstrates the vitality of Hubei's young vocal music talents.
From October to December 2023, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism combined with the selection results of the 15th National Vocal Music Show, while coordinating the recruitment of young and middle-aged vocal performers who have performed outstandingly in major domestic art activities in recent years, held the Senior Vocal Talents of the New Era In the training class, a total of 11 students successfully completed courses such as concentrated learning, guidance from famous teachers, and artistic practice. They successfully graduated and were awarded the title of "Leading Vocal Talents in the New Era".
Chen Yongxi is an associate professor of the Vocal Music Department of Wuhan Conservatory of Music. He studied in the Vocal Music Department of the school for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. He was selected into the 2022 Hubei Province "Youth Top Talent Training Program" and won the 2023 "Hubei Youth May 4th Medal". He has won the 13th China Music Golden Bell Award, the first place in the Bel Canto Category of the 2nd Shenzhen Music Season National Vocal Invitational Competition, and the "Best Young Singer Award" in the Opera Category of the 51st International Vocal Competition in Schiethornebosch, Netherlands. Second place, first place in the Italian Bellocco International Vocal Competition and other major professional competition awards. In July 2021, the first solo vocal album "Sky, Ocean" was released through the China Record Corporation and was widely praised by the society. She has successfully starred in many operas such as "Lucia di Lammermoor", "Madama Butterfly", "La Traviata", and "La Bohème".
