It is reported that 2023hishorts! Xiamen Short Film Week has set up plot, documentary, animation, experimental, commercial, and music units. A total of 7,691 films from 108 countries and regions were collected, with over 56% of the films being submitted internationally. After review, 207 short films were finally shortlisted for the review stage. During the event, 40 short film screenings and 20 creative dialogues and exchanges were held, including six major sections: main competition, screening, forum, market, growth, and social networking, presenting a colorful audio-visual feast to Xiamen audiences. Audience participation in Xiamen reached a new high this year. Many young people came immediately after get off work to watch movies and participate in forums.
