On the afternoon of August 5th, the sun shines through the green leaves and branches, casting countless thin shades. Standing at the commanding heights of the "Little Yan'an" Heroes' Garden in Nanzhuang Village, Jucheng Town, Pingding County, you can have a panoramic view of the growing crops and the tourists visiting the village. "Every year around July 1st, people who come to our village to look for the red relics and feel the revolutionary spirit come one after another. At most, we received a dozen teams a day. Sometimes the full-time tour guides in the village could not receive them. Our village branch Members of the 'two committees' and many enthusiastic villagers became temporary tour guides, trying their best to tell the red stories of the village to the tourists." Said Liu Xinping, Secretary of the Party Branch of Nanzhuang Village and Director of the Village Committee.

Nanzhuang Village is a small mountain village surrounded by mountains. During the Anti-Japanese War, in order to resist foreign enemies and defend their homeland, the army and the people jointly built a tunnel about 4,000 meters long here. Walking into the tunnel, you can vaguely see the traces left by the war that year. Today's Nanzhuang Village has already changed its appearance: relying on rich historical and cultural resources and green ecological advantages, the village vigorously develops rural tourism. There are more tourists coming to the village, and the reputation of the small village is getting bigger and bigger; the villagers not only have bulging wallets, but also have a different spirit. Nanzhuang people are well aware that today's happy life is hard-won, so they consciously inherit the red spirit, continue to struggle and refresh their achievements, and write the story of Nanzhuang in the new era. In Liu Xinping's words, in the past few years, their small village is making great strides, striving to stabilize the red leading road.

Remember the history and continue the red blood

In April of this year, I introduced the authentic "Underground City of Ancient Villages" in Nanzhuang Village. I met with the national audience on the " Geography · China " column of CCTV Science and Education Channel, which made Nanzhuang Village "hot" again Bundle. Authentic structure, authentic history, and authentic functions... In the program, Liu Suzhen, a member of the Nanzhuang Village Committee and a tour guide of the scenic spot, talked about it, as if taking the audience back to Nanzhuang more than half a century ago. The old people in the

village said that in the late Qing Dynasty, secret passages were dug here. At that time, some people dug many secret passages in order to avoid the war and store food. These secret passages laid the foundation for future tunnel digging. During the Anti-Japanese War, the person in charge of the Second District of Pingding (Lubei) County Government often lived here. Later, the underground work in the village was discovered by the enemy. "Since then, Nanzhuang Village has become the focus of the enemy's mopping up." Liu Suzhen introduced. In order to prepare for a long-term struggle against the enemy, four Communist Party members in Nanzhuang Village called on everyone to connect the hidden cave entrances with the secret passages of each house. From 1938 to 1941, with the unremitting efforts of Nanzhuang people, many connected tunnels were built in the village. Liu Suzhen said: "Historical records show that the total length of the tunnel at that time was about 4,000 meters, and it was divided into 4 areas, with 22 entrances and exits, 21 ventilation holes, 31 residential caves, and 6 shaft-type anti-gas and smoke prevention organs. Tunnels extending in all directions connect many places in the village, and there are tunnel entrances in crop fields, water cellars, donkey pens, cave back walls, kitchens, etc.”

While the whole village, young and old, participated in the tunnel construction, the red spirit continued. At that time, 114 guerrillas, 36 blasters, and 32 scouts in Nanzhuang Village formed a team to resist the Japanese army. Together with the Eighth Route Army and the then Lubei Anti-Japanese Military Workers Team, they actively carried out anti-Japanese guerrilla warfare using tunnels. During the Anti-Japanese War, 17 members of the Nanzhuang guerrillas died for the country and 22 were injured in the battle. In 1945, Nanzhuang Village was awarded the title of "Little Yan'an" by the Pingding (Lubei) County Government.

Nowadays, many functional divisions of the tunnels have been restored, and the conference rooms, secret passages, organs, shooting ports, etc. are still preserved. level wooden ladder. Those bits and pieces that are still well preserved after decades have become precious testimonies of that period of history.

Make good use of resources to lead the villagers to find a "way out"

When the smoke of the war clears, the older generation tells the story of Nanzhuang people's heroic resistance to the enemy to the next generation, and the red spirit is passed on from generation to generation in this way. The tunnels that played an important role in the Anti-Japanese War are the proof of the participation of all the people in Nanzhuang and their courageous resistance to the enemy. It is the wish of every Nanzhuang person to protect, develop and make good use of the tunnels that represent the red spirit.

In order to let more people understand the stories that happened in Nanzhuang Village during the Anti-Japanese War, and to lead the villagers to find a new way of development, in 2013, Nanzhuang Village began to clean up and restore the tunnels, and use the existing tunnel sites to develop rural red tourism in a protective way projects that allow people toHere we cherish the memory of the revolutionary martyrs, reminisce about the glorious years, and accumulate the strength to forge ahead.

“At that time, we hoped to create a red tourist attraction through the ‘resurrection’ tunnel, which would add impetus to the development of the village.” said Liu Suogen, then Secretary of the Party Branch of Nanzhuang Village. In the past, the villagers of Nanzhuang Village lived mainly by farming, and some young people worked in the refractory material factory and brick and stone factory in the village. Later, the refractory material factory and the masonry factory were shut down one after another, and most young people went out to work. Liu Suogen said that the reason why they "dig" out the tunnels is to revitalize the rural resources, find suitable new industries for the village, and help the villagers find a "way out".

It will cost a lot of money to restore the tunnels, which is not an easy task for Nanzhuang Village, whose collective economy is weak. The village cadres took the lead to advance the project first and tried their best to obtain financial support from the superiors. The villagers brought their own tools to clean up the tunnels. The three-vertical and one-horizontal, four-story circular tunnel has been restored to a length of 1,300 meters, attracting many tourists.

The reappearance of a red memory also allowed the people of Nanzhuang to take new steps to get out of the predicament. Later, the "two committees" teams of the previous village branches of Nanzhuang Village passed on the "relay baton" and led the villagers to continue to struggle along the footsteps of their ancestors. Exhibition halls, traditional ancient courtyards, etc., took home "Chinese traditional villages", "Chinese historical and cultural famous villages", "Shanxi historical and cultural famous villages" and other "golden plaques".

Liu Xinping said: "In the past few years, the changes in the village have been obvious to all. The villagers have red genes in their bones, nourished by the spirit of their ancestors, motivated to do things, and willing to develop. We must make full use of the precious red cultural resources and make steady progress. The red pilot road makes everyone's life better every year."

Strengthen the rural revitalization road with whips and hoofs.

71-year-old Liu Tansuo is a native of Nanzhuang. For decades, although the family's house has been renovated again and again, the family has never left the village. In recent years, the authenticity has ignited the rural tourism industry in the village, and Liu Tan, who can't stay idle, opened a farmhouse in his yard. "The four cave dwellings are 'private rooms', and a few tables can be placed in the center of the courtyard. It is not a problem to accommodate 60 or 70 people for dining at the same time. The business has been booming in recent years, and at most, more than 100 people come to eat a day." Liu Tan said. said laughingly. While running the farmhouse, the family also likes to tell tourists the story of Nanzhuang people united and bravely resisting the enemy. "The red spirit is the precious spiritual wealth of our Chinese nation, which needs to be passed down from generation to generation to inspire generations to forge ahead."

In Nanzhuang Village, like Liu Tansuo, there are many people who resonate at the same frequency as the village and explore the road of rural revitalization. "In recent years, the development of the village has taken great strides and made great achievements, but we still have to continue to struggle. Although I have not been a village cadre for a long time, I have taken over the 'baton' from my predecessors and I have the confidence to lead the whole country. The people in the village continue to make great articles about 'red + green', breaking new ground and taking a steady road to revitalization." Liu Xinping's words were resounding during the "Great Contest" of village-level collective economic development in , a giant town in , held at the beginning of this year .

During this period, construction workers can be seen everywhere in Nanzhuang Village. Some of them are building relief cultural walls, some are repairing ancient courtyards, and some are laying floor tiles for the training ground. Nanzhuang Village is like a lively construction site. "Last year, due to the impact of the epidemic, we temporarily closed the scenic spot. In order to improve the tourism reception capacity and bring tourists a better and richer travel experience, we decided to use this vacancy to improve the infrastructure of the scenic spot. Right now, the scenic spot upgrade project It has entered the final stage." Liu Xiuhuai, deputy director of the Nanzhuang Village Committee, said.

The village cadres are clear-minded and motivated, and the villagers' confidence in development has been further enhanced. Shi Yunzhang, a returning entrepreneur, is one of the typical representatives. From transferring villagers' land, planting selenium-enriched millet on a large scale, selling millet, to processing millet noodle cakes, millet crispy , high-selenium vinegar, selenium-enriched wine, selenium-enriched high-calcium black sesame balls... Shi Yunzhang led the development of Shanxi Kyushu Fragrant Agriculture Co., Ltd. has advanced ordinary small miscellaneous grains into "tall" functional agricultural products. Today, the company's "family" of selenium-enriched products is gradually growing, appearing on various booths and e-commerce platforms, and becoming a shining "business card" for the city's selenium-enriched agricultural industry. "With the support from the superiors and the encouragement from the village, I feel that the development environment and prospects of the selenium-rich agricultural industry are very good. In the future, we will not only need to make good use of resources and practice hard work, but also need to connect with scientific research institutes to borrow"External force', make up for talents and technical shortcomings, promote product upgrades, strive to connect with a broader high-end market, and let the good products in the village go further. "Shi Yunzhang said.

Reporter's Notes

Interviewing in Nanzhuang Village, the most touching thing is the hard-working spirit passed down from generation to generation and the figures of relay struggles. The words and deeds of the villagers are unforgettable for a long time. He said that today's happy life is not easy to come by. Countless revolutionary martyrs exchanged their lives. Only by remembering history can we move forward better; young village cadres and entrepreneurs said that inheriting the red spirit is not empty talk. Footsteps, "lower your head to pull the cart" to do things in a down-to-earth manner, but also need to "look up at the road" to keep up with the pace of the times.
