Qualcomm Snapdragon has always been the mobile platform of choice for high-end flagships of many Android manufacturers. In December last year, it officially launched a new generation of mobile platform - Snapdragon 845, and its performance was also exposed.
In terms of AnTuTu running score, the Snapdragon 845 prototype machine has a running score of 267,000 points, which is a significant improvement compared to the previous generation Snapdragon 835. Both the CPU and GPU have increased by more than 20,000 points, and the UX performance has also improved. About 15,000.
Under the Geekbench 4.2.1 test, the Snapdragon 845 prototype scored 2461 for single-core running and 8456 for multi-core running. From left to right in the picture, the running score of Kirin 970 (Huawei Mate 10 Pro) is 1920/6775, the running score of Snapdragon 835 is 1955/6601, and the running score of Exynos 8895 (Samsung Note8) is 2027/6724. However, for Apple A11 (iPhone X) With single-core 4238 and multi-core 10517 running points, Snapdragon 845 will continue to work hard.
Although the running score of the Snapdragon 845 is not bad, but Qualcomm staff also emphasized: in terms of user experience, the benchmark test can only measure some indicators of a terminal, such as CPU performance, GPU performance, and to a certain extent memory performance. Qualcomm pointed out that the benchmarking tool is the latest version to ensure the smooth mobilization of the GPU during the graphics benchmarking test, so as to truly present the results.
In addition, Qualcomm also showed an interesting gesture camera function, which is different from the current camera-recognized gesture camera on smartphones. This one is equipped with the Snapdragon 845, which can accurately complete the shutter activation from several meters away. The principle is that the mobile phone emits ultrasonic waves when taking a selfie. When the user waves his hand to change the reflection speed of the ultrasonic waves, the neural network in the chip can recognize and automatically complete the photo.
