Zhu Xiaofang, a senior engineer at the Outdoor Center of Nanjing Quality Inspection Institute, told reporters that one problem is that there is no cashmere content at all, but the cashmere content is marked. There are also standard cashmere percentages that do not meet the requirements. For example, the standard cashmere content is 50%, but the actual detection may only be 20% or 30%.
In terms of characteristics, cashmere feels soft, smooth, shiny, and has good heat retention. Quality inspection experts suggest that consumers can first touch and then grasp when purchasing cashmere sweaters, and choose by feel.
Zhu Xiaofang said that the suede surface of pure cashmere is very plump, the hand feel is very soft, the weight is very light, and the color is very soft. After grasping it with your hand, it can be quickly opened, and it can quickly rebound when released. The elasticity is very good; if mixed with other fibers, the hand is not so soft and waxy.
For cashmere sweaters that are nominally 100% cashmere, consumers can also identify them through two small experiments.
Zhu Xiaofang's trick is to pull a little fibrous ball from the top, hold it with tweezers, and burn it with a lighter. It smells of burning hair. Open, it will not be twisted like chemical fibers.
