asked: In fact, there is a social problem. We have paid attention to many breast cancer patients. They have anxiety and depression, and it is difficult to return to society. What does Professor Shen think caused it? ?
Answer: In the past, when women heard about breast tumor , they always felt that they had to remove the breast. At the same time, after the operation, it might cause damage to the appearance and some sequelae. Then some others see that this person has had breast cancer or something, and the patient himself feels very uncomfortable, ashamed, or shameful.
Q: We would also like to ask Professor Zheng, what advice do you have on caring for breast cancer patients?
Answer: I think our whole society should have the knowledge and cognition in this regard, knowing that breast cancer is not so scary, and after regular treatment, they can recover. In fact, they are normal people after treatment, then we will Welcome them back to work. At the beginning, they may not be able to work full-time. Do we create some part-time jobs for them so that they don't have to come back to work full-time.
asks: Professor Zheng, you just mentioned that "early detection and early diagnosis and treatment" is a key to breast cancer treatment. Could you tell us what efforts the Women's Federation and our Women's Physician Association have made in breast cancer prevention and treatment?
Answer: I think it is particularly important to mention that the Women's Federation did a very important thing in the 1990s. At that time, the Law on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests was being revised. It is proposed to put the screening of two diseases in women, in fact, the screening of breast cancer and cervical cancer, into laws and regulations.
hope that our small class can help more women improve their health knowledge, and
enhance their awareness of self-care and health.
