According to the Provincial Meteorological Observatory's news on September 28, this year's No. 16 typhoon "Olu" (strong typhoon level) landed on the coast near Da Nang, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam in the early morning of the 28th. In addition, around October 1, there was tropical disturbance activity in the central waters of in the South China Sea. From October 1st to 2nd, there will be obvious wind and rain in some sea areas and land areas of our province.


Due to the weakening of the influence of "Aolu" on our province, the Provincial Meteorological Bureau lifted the typhoon level 4 warning at 15:20 on September 28. Affected by the residual circulation of "Aolu" and weak cold air, from September 29th to 30th, there were still heavy to heavy rains and local heavy rains in the eastern half of Hainan Island. In addition, affected by the tropical disturbance activities in the central waters of the South China Sea around October 1, there will be obvious wind and rain in some sea areas and land in our province from October 1 to 2. Relevant departments need to continue to strengthen the risk prevention of secondary disasters such as urban and rural waterlogging, geological disasters, and mountain torrents, and do a good job in reservoir inspection and management.
