The Guardian: The exoplanet that humans may explore is not Mars, so which one is it?

China Xiaokang Net, September 26th. The temperature on the surface of Venus is hot enough to melt lead, the atmospheric pressure and sulfuric acid clouds are enough to crush everything, which may not sound like the most tempting destination for human exploration.

Venus' surface is hot enough to melt lead and sulfuric acid clouds

The Guardian reports, but a group of experts have argued that our other nearest neighbour, Venus, not Mars , should be the first source of manned travel to another planet Target.

Venus has obvious drawbacks, and walking on the surface of Venus would be an unsurvivable experience, so astronauts would have to gaze down at the planet from the safety of their spacecraft during the mission.

In its favor, however, Venus is so close to Earth that it could complete the return mission in a year compared to the three-year round trip to Mars. According to a report presented at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Paris last week, the flyby will have scientific value and could provide important lessons for long deep space missions as a precursor to visiting Mars.
