According to Taiwan's Zhongshi News Network, after the largest earthquake this year occurred at 14:44 on September 18 in Chishang Township, Taitung County, Taiwan, aftershocks continued throughout Taiwan. From 0:00 on the 19th, 11 more earthquakes occurred overnight.

The aftershocks that occurred from 0:00 to early morning on the 19th were all extremely shallow earthquakes, ranging in scale from 3.1 to 4.4. The epicenter was all in the Huadong area, covering Wanrong Township in Hualien County, Yuli Township in Hualien County, Chishang Township in Taitung County, Yanping Township , Donghe Township, Taitung County. The tremors continued throughout the night, and people could not sleep peacefully.
