Mid-autumn moon appreciation is our traditional culture since ancient times. At this moment, looking up at the sky, there are really Chang'e and Yutu on the moon 380,000 kilometers away from us.

In January 2019, the Chang'e-4 lunar probe landed on the lunar surface and released the "Yutu" 2 lunar rover. Now, they have been working on the far side of the moon for almost four years. This Mid-Autumn Festival , that "rabbit" thousands of miles away, how is it going?

Yutu No. 2 : Hi, everyone, I am Yutu No. 2 lunar rover, The Mid-Autumn Festival is here again, do you miss me?

Ground staff: Yutu No. 2 Please note that the audience just mentioned you, please report your recent work.

Yutu No.2: Yutu No.2 received! It just happened that I haven't chatted with you for a long time, so I will report it to you today.

Yutu 2: Let me introduce to you first. My current location is the Von Karman impact crater on the far side of the moon, and next to this is our fourth sister, Chang'e 4. On January 3, 2019, she brought me here, and we became the first spacecraft to set foot on the back of the moon. See, I left the first rut on the back of the moon, amazing! Today is the 1346th day that we have come to the far side of the moon, and I am currently the rover with the longest working time on the moon.

Chang'e 4: , you are awesome, little rabbit. Your design life is only three months. I really didn't expect you to be so capable, and you have served over three years.

Jade Rabbit No. 2: fourth sister has won the prize. In fact, all the masters on earth have supported us through these thousand days. I have also learned a lot from the far side of the moon this past year.

Yutu No.2: On the surface of the moon, I walked nearly 1,300 meters, and recorded many interesting sights along the way. This is a beautiful picture of the moon I took. Have you seen a square and mysterious object on the other side of the skyline? This picture was a hit at the time, and netizens said it was an alien "moon cabin".

Yutu No.2: They guessed for a long time, and I walked for a long time, and finally came to it. It wasn't a hut, it was actually a stone, but the shape of this stone is more interesting. If you look closely, it looks very much like a " stone rabbit ", and a small stone in front of the "stone rabbit" still looks like a Root carrot , is it because there is God's will in the world, and has arranged a "brother" for me to accompany me?

Yutu No.2: In addition to this "stone rabbit", I also photographed many impact craters and scattered moon rocks along the way. I have to say that the craters on the back of the moon are really much more than those on the front of the moon. It can be seen how many "bullets" the moon has blocked for our earth.

Yutu No.2: Of course, taking pictures is only part of my work. I bring a lot of detection equipment, such as panoramic cameras, lunar radars, infrared imaging spectrometers, and neutral atom detectors in cooperation with Sweden . These devices can study the topography, mineral composition and shallow structure of the lunar surface on the moon.

Chang'e 4: Have the scientists on the ground made any new discoveries with your equipment?

Jade RabbitNumber two: Scientists have studied a fresh impact crater we had passed by before, using the ultra-high spatial resolution images I took and the spectral data I collected, for the first time, they have identified about a The remnants of the million-year-old carbonaceous chondrite impact body, which can be of great help to our study of "extramoon water".

Yutu No.2: In addition, the neutral atom detector, infrared imaging spectrometer and other equipment on my body have also obtained a lot of data, and a lot of research on the solar wind , the origin of the Moon's South Pole-Aiken Basin composition anomaly has been obtained. results. This is only a small part. I believe that more scientific results will be announced in the future. Let's wait and see!
