At present, 51 of the 310 companies with intention to do so have started thematic negotiations with relevant departments in Kazakhstan to carry out localized production in Kazakhstan, including EMAG e-commerce, Carlsberg , Fortescue Mining, etc. Canon , Kronospan, Alstom , Haier and other companies are in the preliminary negotiation stage.
Kazakh Prime Minister Smailov pointed out that at the end of the first quarter, the inflow of foreign direct investment in Kazakhstan was in good shape.
"At the same time, our window of opportunity has also opened, with many investors looking to ship their production facilities to Kazakhstan. Ministries and municipal leaders must make every effort to quickly resolve issues related to this," Sri Myloff said. He instructed state agencies and authorities to take comprehensive measures to launch all planned investment projects.
Smailov concluded: "We now need to lay a solid foundation for the next few years to generate a good investment momentum. This is very important from a job creation and economic diversification perspective. Corresponding work should also be carried out in the region.”
