Race against time! China Eastern Airlines flight emergency landing

On the morning of the 3rd, on the Eastern Airlines flight MU9042 from Hangzhou to Xi'an, a passenger suddenly fell ill and felt unwell. The crew decisively took rescue measures and diverted to Hefei. After landing, the passenger was immediately taken to the hospital by the 120 ambulance of the Hefei Airport Emergency Center for medical treatment. At present, the passenger's physical condition is stable.

At 6:27, flight MU9042 took off from Hangzhou Airport. Shortly after takeoff, the flight attendant found a 20-year-old male passenger suddenly unwell, with symptoms such as vomiting blood, convulsions, and unconsciousness. In line with the principle of the safety of passengers' life first, the crew decided to make an emergency diversion to Hefei Airport. Under the premise of ensuring safety, the crew immediately contacted China Eastern Airlines Anhui Branch to communicate the ground support for the alternate landing in Hefei.


After receiving the flight alternate information, China Eastern Airlines Anhui Branch, Hefei Airport and other parties arranged ambulances and other medical resources in advance, and all parties worked together to buy precious time for the treatment of passengers.


At 7:25, the flight landed safely at Hefei Airport. The staff of the Ground Service Department of China Eastern Airlines Anhui Branch cooperated with the crew and medical staff to take the passengers to the ambulance and escorted them to the hospital. After the plane landed, after refueling and other procedures, it took off at 9:24 for Xi'an.
