Is a movie called "Titanic 2" related to Cameron's classic?

James Cameron 's Titanic is a stand-alone story - however, there is also a movie called Titanic 2, but is it related to the cameron classic?

Over the years, James Cameron has become synonymous with Hollywood blockbuster movies. Most of them are sci-fi movies, but 1997's "Titanic" is more of a disaster movie. "Titanic" was the most expensive movie to make at the time. Fortunately, the film did well at the box office. No matter how much time has passed, the film remains one of James Cameron's most impressive works.

Cameron-directed Titanic tells a fictional story based on the true tragedy of the 1912 Titanic, featuring fictional characters ( Jack and Ruth). While the protagonist is fictional, many of the passengers on the ship, and even the story, are real. In the film, Ruth and Jack fall in love just a few days after they meet. Unfortunately, their love story ended in tragedy. I think that's why their stories are still fresh in the memory for so long.

Titanic tells a whole story and gives the main characters a fitting ending. So there's nothing left over to make way for a sequel - however, there is a movie called Titanic 2, but regardless of the name, the movie itself has nothing to do with Cameron's movie.

If the same thing is said, "Titanic 2" is also a disaster film, released in 2010 and directed by Shane Van Dyke. The story takes place in April 2012, 100 years after the tragedy of the Titanic, a luxury cruise ship with a similar appearance to the Titanic - the RMS Titanic II - began its voyage, and its route is similar to that of the Titanic. The numbers are the same, but in the opposite direction - from New York to Southampton.

Titanic 2's main characters are the ship's designer Hayden Walsh and nurse Amy Maine. However, at the end of Titanic 2, Hayden sacrificed himself to save Amy. It can be said that in terms of plot, it has similarities with Kashen's "Titanic", but the plot is completely different.

It's a pity that this "Titanic 2" didn't have the same response as Cameron's "Titanic." After the film was released in North America, it received many negative reviews, and even the performances of the main actors were well received. In any case, James Cameron's "Titanic" is basically a respectful retelling of the actual tragedy of the Titanic, while "Titanic 2" movie is just based on the sinking of the Titanic. Some pointless stories that end up feeling disrespectful, even like a joke. I think that's why Titanic 2 became such a forgettable movie.
