Famous composer Lian Bo died in Shanghai at the age of 90 due to illness

Shangguan News reported on August 21 that famous composer and professor of Shanghai Conservatory of Music Lian Bo died of illness in Shanghai on August 20 at the age of 90.

Lian Bo has served as the executive director of the Chinese Opera Music Association, the Shanghai Musicians Association and the Shanghai Dramatists Association. He has composed music for many well-known operas, especially with the Yin Pai of Yue Opera for half a century, which has attracted audiences to talk about it.

Lian Bo was born in 1931. He has loved music since he was a child. He has acted as accompaniment and composer for Fanghua, Young, Swan, Jing'an and other Yue opera troupes. On August 31, 1996, Lian Bo published "Wu Ge Yue Qu is Passionate" in the "Liberation Daily", "I am from Zhejiang, and I spent my youth in Jiangsu. I feel very kind to Wu Ge Yue Qu." 1958 Lian Bo entered the Shanghai Conservatory of Music for advanced studies, and stayed as a teacher because of his outstanding major. He composed music for more than 100 works such as Yue Opera, Shanghai Opera, and Peking Opera. He has cooperated with various schools of Yue Opera such as Fanpai, Fupai, and Qipai.
