The public discovered that as of 10 pm on Friday, more than 20 companies that have business partnerships with Zhang, including the beverage brand Wahaha , have announced that they will terminate their partnerships.

Wahaha said in a statement published on its Weibo: “National dignity cannot be destroyed.”


The company said that its products will immediately terminate the cooperative relationship with Zhang.

Zhang is the brand spokesperson for Wahaha vanilla ice cream products.

food company Xu Fuji said on Weibo that it would terminate the cooperation with Zhang, saying that his behavior hurt the feelings of the Chinese people, which the company firmly opposed.
