novel "The Sinking of Japan" was published and distributed in Japan in 1973. In the past 30 years, it has been adapted and filmed into TV series, movies, comics and radio dramas. "Japan Sinking: Man of Hope" is the second Japanese dramatization of the original, and it is also the Sunday theater where Oguri Shun will appear in TBS again after 11 years after "Veterinarian Dolittle".

This new version of the series will make bold innovations. The stage will be set in Tokyo in 2023, and the story will be centered on the original character Tianhai Revelation. It will be broadcast in October 2021.
