The industry said that the store business has not been affected by the turmoil and will open a second store in the Pudong International Financial Center in the first quarter of next year.
According to Lianhe Zaobao on December 18, Wu Baochun’s opening event this morning attracted a large number of mainland and Taiwan media. However, only Wu Baochun’s general manager Zou Wenyu and the baker introduced the store and the characteristics of the bread.
Zou Wenyu emphasized in answering the inquiry of Lianhe Zaobao that the recent turmoil had "basically no impact on stores" and "consumers are very rational."
He also said that Wu Baochun’s absence from the event "has nothing to do with the storm," "because he personally has some schedule."

Wu Baochun won the gold medal in the individual World Cup Bread Contest (Masters de la Boulangerie) in France. In response to rumors, Wu Baochun issued a statement on the 10th to clarify, emphasizing that he was born in "Taiwan, China" and supports the "92 Consensus."
