The 24th Korean KR Busan Film Festival sponsored by ARTISTRY in 2019 was held from October 3rd to 12th. On the evening of the opening ceremony, the lights in the Haeundae Movie Hall in Busan were dazzling, and more than 200 filmmakers from many parts of the world dressed up and set foot on the red carpet. About 300 films will be released this year, of which about 120 are world premieres. In the main competition unit, 14 films will compete for the "New Wave" award, including three Chinese-language films-"The Train to Spring" starring Li Mincheng, Ren Suxi, and "Youth and the Sea" directed by Sun Aoqian, and "The Long Scent of Jackfruit Waits" directed by Taiwanese directors Liao Kefa and Chen Xuezhen.
Since its establishment 24 years ago, the Busan Film Festival has always been known for emphasizing the academic and artistic value of films, and has become a major film event in Asia. Amway Artistry ARTISTRY, as the "Diamond Premiere Exclusive Sponsor" of the Film Festival, started in 2012 and sponsored the Busan Film Festival for 8 consecutive years, precisely because of each other's pursuit of art and innovation.
