On the morning of August 15, the 6th Xixia Studies International Academic Forum hosted by the Xixia Studies Institute of Ningxia University, Yinchuan Xixialing District Management Office, and Yinchuan Xixialing Culture Investment Co., Ltd. was held in Yinchuan, the old capital of Xixia.

More than 130 experts and scholars from more than 60 units in China, Russia, Japan, France, Norway and other countries attended the forum. They discussed the social history, language, literature, and cultural relics of Xixia In-depth exchanges and discussions were carried out on archaeological art and the protection of the Xixia Tomb site and the declaration of world cultural heritage.

Xixia Studies International Academic Forum is an important academic activity of the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Base and Sino-Russian Xixia Studies Joint Research. It is held every two years. Since the first Xixia Studies International Forum was held in Yinchuan in 2010, it has been jointly held for 5 sessions in Wuwei, Beijing, Zhangye, Alxa and other places and related units, becoming the most important academic exchange platform for international Xixia Studies. Compared with the previous 5 Xixia Studies International Forums, this forum has the following characteristics: First, it summarizes and prospects for a century of Xixia Studies, and discusses the transformation and development of Xixia Studies and the path of discipline construction in the new era; Second, the research is further deepened, Xixia Literature Research Pay attention to the excavation of deep-seated connotations, and the social history and language research of Xixia have been innovative; the third is to pay attention to new archaeological discoveries, and to share the new materials and discoveries unearthed in Xixia Haimu Cave in recent years; the fourth is to excavate the Xixia Mausoleum represented by Xixia The historical and cultural connotation and value, the new mission of Xixia Studies-how Xixia Studies can better promote and inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture and serve the integration and development of local cultural tourism.
