Girls’ Generation Kim Taeyeon vented her emotions through a live broadcast, and the extended isolation period made her feel lonely and empty

In a recent Instagram live broadcast, Taeyeon Kim of Girls’ Generation expressed her frustration and sadness over the continued spread of the new crown virus in Korea.

She first explained that she broadcast live for those who self-isolate at home.

I open a live broadcast for those who stay home and work hard to practice social distancing.

She continued:

I think we are all the same. Everyone feels bored at home, we feel exhausted, we miss others. Because of the new crown pneumonia, the world is already very lonely.

Taeyeon explained that although she maintains social distancing at home, the new crown has brought her huge emotional trauma.

I am sad, because I think the chance of seeing you is getting less and less. Some people may ask, "Since you are an otaku, don't you like to stay at home all day?" But before I became an otaku, I was a singer. So I want to sing and perform.

She sympathizes with the emotional difficulties that everyone will definitely feel, like losing a job.

Indeed, you will feel frustrated, because just as you think the new coronary pneumonia epidemic might get better, but it gets worse. I think just like me, everyone who has a job will feel empty and lost. I think I lost my job and I almost cried.

-Taeyeon

South Korea has done a good job in controlling the spread of the new crown, but the country has recently seen an increase in cases, which has led to the country again introducing stricter social distancing guidelines.

The number of new daily cases in South Korea is currently hovering at around 200.
