52 movie posters in 52 weekends, my wife and I photographed the baby for the first year of his life

You know that parents like to take pictures of their newborn babies, as every milestone for their children. My wife and I may have done a little too much. We shoot one film a week, one film is limited to 30 minutes, so I filmed my baby for 52 weeks and produced 52 movie posters.

This is part of the poster, the work is authorized by the author.

My name is Zhou Yizhe, and my English name is Benson Chou. I am Chinese. I work as a brand image consultant. My main job is to help individuals and new companies locate their images, design logos and websites. My job is more flexible, mainly wandering at home and coffee shops. In 2018, my wife Michelle and I welcomed our first baby, Zoltan. The

shooting plans all started with a "Buzz Lightyear" one-piece suit. This is a gift from a friend. As a thank you, Michelle and I thought it would be cool to share a photo of Zoltan wearing a jumpsuit. We want to set a clean background for this photo to make everything look better. Then, we might as well use earplugs as stars, scarves as planets, and drag the thermometer on the canvas to look like a shooting star...Then use my design expertise and use PhotoShop to turn photos into posters.

Buzz Lightyear is one of the protagonists of Toy Story. The prototype is Buzz Aldrin, an American astronaut who landed on the moon with Armstrong.

Zoltan was two months old at the time. We decided to do this every weekend until Zoltan’s old age. In order to prevent us from giving up halfway, we have established some rules.

Rule 1: Don't increase unnecessary stress in this project, it is a kind of fun. We tried our best not to discuss this matter until the day before the shooting. We tried to propose a topic on or the day before the shooting. This is why you see a lot of posters that are closer to the current hot news.

Week 10 "My Skateboard". Figure/Benson Chou

Rule 2: We make as many props as possible to improve the creativity of shooting and reduce the work of PS post, because using cast iron cover and Lego toys to make a stereo speaker is more interesting than simply putting one in PS .

Week 11 "Golf Player". Figure/Benson Chou

Rule 2: For each photo shooting, we are limited to 30 minutes, from finding the required material to taking the photo, the whole process does not exceed 30 minutes, 99% of which are OK. Of course, if we have to time out, it must be Zoltan's fault. The inspiration for

came from the mother-in-law who brought this down jacket. I'm pretty sure she thinks we live in Alaska. The 13th week works. Photo/Benson Cho

I use an Olympus EM5 Mk II camera, a Panasonic 12-35mm lens with f/2.8 aperture, and a Canon 430EX flash. In the conception stage, we are sometimes inspired by current events and sometimes by available clothing.

This one-year project ended in the blink of an eye. Someone asked why it stopped in a year? Obviously, that is that you don't have a 1-year-old working together. Stop asking, I just want to be alone.

So, what about these movie posters? Since we have spent 52 weekends taking pictures, we might as well make it into a book. So that we can brag about the capital to our children and grandchildren.

A weekend whim turned into a year-long project, of course this is one of my favorite projects. It may also be because the Warriors won that year. Of course I have to say to my second child: "Sorry, my baby, you may not getTo the same treatment. Because Dad is a bit lazy. Then so be it..."

I am Benson Chou (Benson Chou) and I work as a brand image consultant. This is a group photo of our family.
