With an unpretentious and pure dialect movie "The Hijab of Wheat", Lu Jian stands out among the thousands of flowers. asked: What kind of story does the movie "The Hijab of Wheat" tell?

Lu Jian: "The Hijab of Wheat" is a story about promises and lies, humanity and emotions.

Q: What is the most attractive part of this story that made you decide to make it video?

Lu Jian: is more important than simple stories in a story or a literary work. Hu Xuewen's novel has won the Lu Xun Literature Award. It has a solid description of the relationship between the characters, and the content of the story already has the basis for film adaptation.

Q: The film took place in the mountainous area of ​​Guizhou in the 1990s. How can such a background in time and space make the audience feel less alienated when watching the movie?

Lu Jian: Each story of has its own different era and background. These can be crossed. The charm of the movie is to express the characters and inner emotions. Even if the story takes place in the distant past, it triggers Resonance also makes contemporary people feel empathy. The whole story background of the

novel is very imaginary, and it can be placed in any era background. This is a difficulty in the adaptation and creation, and it is also what attracts me. The reason why

chose such a large historical background as the turn of the century is that China's modernization process has developed relatively rapidly. Especially after the new century, films that describe the conflict between traditional female consciousness and modern female consciousness are relatively lacking. In addition, this cross-age setting is also very meaningful.

Q: Did you specially design the movie to be presented in dialect?

Lu Jian: Because Hu Xuewen is a writer from Hebei, the original novel has a strong northern characteristic, like Lao Yu in the script was originally a horse dealer. As a Guizhou native, I have always wanted to film in my hometown. And Chishui is at the junction of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the Sichuan Basin. The drop is very large and the topography is rather strange. There are many waterfalls, making it an excellent location for filming.

As for using dialects, it is really a coincidence. Liu Zi and I are alumni from Guizhou, so the role of Sister Lan was the first to be decided. Later, I learned that Wang Ting could also speak Guizhou dialect. After discussing it, he decided to use the dialect without hesitation.

Q: Does the film classify and define good people or bad people?

Lu Jian: An excellent classic literary work can never be defined by good or bad. The characters in the movie "Maizi's Hijab" are very real, showing the complexity of human nature, and the entanglement of desire and true feelings is reflected in the three characters.

asked: If you are old at the moment and may be called a scumbag by a female audience, do you have such concerns when creating?

Lu Jian: Judging from the image that Mr. Yu created in the whole play, he is a man who values ​​love and justice. Lao Yu had a painful marriage, like a layer of ashes that covered the most essential emotions in his heart. He doesn't want to face marriage anymore, so he maintains a sexual partner relationship with Sister Lan. But after meeting Maizi, Yu was deeply moved by Maizi's simplicity, persistence, and dedication to feelings, which inspired his true self.

Lu Jian: A good story and a good movie can cross national boundaries and even age groups.
