Li Minghao was born in Guangyuan, Sichuan. He used to study with Fang Lei and Tong Weidong. He studied at the Primary School Attached to Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Primary School Attached to Central Conservatory of Music. In 2008, he won a full scholarship and was admitted to Manhattan Conservatory of Music for a bachelor's and master's degree. He studied under the famous Canadian violinist Lucie Robert. In 2012, he graduated with honors from the Central Conservatory of Music with a Master of Arts degree. During the school, he participated in a wide range of chamber music performances and teaching research topics.
