"Assembly" Xiaowa blocking battle, 104 people were killed in 6 hours, 1 company blocked thousands of enemy troops

believes that anyone who likes to watch war movies will be familiar with the "Assembly Number" which was released on December 20, 2007. Of course, the reason why this film is so popular. In addition to the wonderful performances by Zhang Hanyu, Deng Chao, Tang Yan and many other leading actors, the most memorable one is mainly the brutal blocking battle.

Now, almost 12 years have passed since this "Assembly Number". However, the story of the heroic company Changguzidi in the movie, leading 47 soldiers to defend their positions and bravely resist the enemy, is still fresh in the memory of every viewer who has seen it.

However, when it comes to the story of this movie, it is true in the history of the War of Liberation. This blockade was the prototype of "Assembly Number", which was the famous Xiaowa blockade in the Battle of Laiwu. What's more worth mentioning is that the real Xiaowa resistance in history is much more violent than the movie.

Xiaowa blockade battle:

In 1947, the East China Field Army launched the Battle of Laiwu. At that time, a highway in Xiaowa village led to the national army’s supply base and retreat base. If our army could capture Xiaowa village, It can cut off the back-up and retreat of the national army, which is the key to encircling and destroying the enemy's main force. But at that time there was a huge gap between the enemy and the enemy's strength. The Xiaowa blocking battle, which was not dominant in equipment and strength, was destined to be a very tragic battle.

At around 9 o'clock in the morning on the 21st of 1947, the two sides began a fierce battle, which lasted until 3 o'clock in the afternoon (a full 6-hour fight). After the battle started, our army only relied on 140 people to block the offensive of thousands of the national army (the gap between the enemy and our forces was as high as 10 to 1). In addition, the enemy also used heavy weapons such as aircraft, artillery, and tanks. Even in terms of individual combat equipment, the enemy's weaponry is far superior to our army (for example, the enemy's army was already equipped with advanced American grenades, but our army still used home-made grenades).

But even in the situation where the strength and the weapons are so different, the soldiers of the first company of the first regiment of the Huaye First Column of our army just withstood the enemy's crazy attack. They not only blocked the enemy's breakthrough with their flesh and blood, but also bought enough time for the deployment and adjustment of the main force of our army in the Battle of Laiwu, and the final realization of the plan to annihilate the enemy.

However, there is one biggest difference between the historical Kowa blockade and the story in "Assembly Number". That was the fact that the main force of our army at the time indeed sent a correspondent to convey the retreat order. Moreover, the four correspondents sent in the front were sacrificed, and the main force of our army continued to send people to the positions stationed in a company to deliver orders.

Until the communication soldier Lu Xuelin successfully took the order to retreat, there were only 36 soldiers left in the company. However, they defended their position but still did not lose. Even though the last house to be garrisoned was already on fire, they relied on these ruined walls to repel the enemy's more than a dozen charges.

Xiaowa blockade after the war counted:

was originally a company of soldiers outnumbered by the enemy, and in this blockade battle also suffered heavy casualties. According to statistics, at that time, a company of 140 commanders and fighters in a row, after 6 hours of fighting, only survived 36 people (104 people were killed, most of which were wounded).

It is precisely because of the bravery of a company of soldiers in this Xiaowa battle that laid the foundation for our army's victory in the Laiwu Battle. In the end, until February 23, 1947, the main force of our army had annihilated a total of 56,000 enemy troops.
