On October 27, in front of the ancient Wuyue Kingdom Hall in Hengdian Film and Television City, Zhejiang, the major historical drama "The Taiping Year", which is supported by the Central Propaganda Department's annual cultural industry development project, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and the Zhejiang Provincial Literature and Art Fund, was officially launched. This epic drama with the theme of Wuyue culture, with a heavy mission of historical inheritance, leads the audience into the turbulent years of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms.

Fu Binxing, President of Huace Group, said that in order to complete the creation of "The Year of Peace", Huace Group spent five years of planning and three years of script polishing, and assembled a domestic first-line creative team and cast. Screenwriter Dong Zhe, chief director Yang Lei, co-director Lu Beike, art director Shao Changyong, styling director Chen Tongxun and other industry leaders gathered together to control the production with world-class standards, aiming to make "The Year of Peace" a global business card of Chinese film and television. In order to ensure the quality of the series, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television specially arranged special training for the crew of "The Year of Peace" in September. This is the first training course specially established for a single drama in recent years. Experts from Tsinghua University and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences provided academic support to the creative team. The series also spent money to build a 60,000-square-meter filming area, and the costume modeling team designed and produced more than 8,000 sets of costumes, striving to highly restore the style of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. Director Yang Lei said that the play will use internationally leading shooting technology and be produced according to film-level standards.
