Shanghai Yimi Public Welfare Service Development Center organized volunteers to provide guidance, escort and other support services to the audience at the cinema. By configuring barrier-free projection equipment, visually impaired friends can wear earphone receivers to listen to the narration, while sighted people can watch the movie the same as usual, thus achieving "integrated viewing" and smoothly watching the same movie in the same theater. Director Wu Ershan and starring Hu Xianxu also "appeared" on the scene through video, calling on more peers and producers to authorize the production of more barrier-free versions of film and television works.
"Under the Stranger" is the second barrier-free film this summer, following " Catch a Baby ", directed by the China Association for the Blind, jointly produced by Tencent, the China Braille Library, and the Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Industry Association. By adding narration between the lines and sound effects of the original version, it helps the visually impaired understand the plot and achieve coherent viewing.
In order to meet the simultaneous viewing needs of the visually impaired, the production of a barrier-free version needs to be based on the film source in advance and complete a series of processes such as commentary script writing, commentary recording, and mixing and synthesis. The main producers of the film promoted the copyright authorization of the film and worked with all parties to open up the entire process from the production of accessible versions to distribution and screening. During the release and screening stage of
, the barrier-free version of the movie will make digital copies of the film source with commentary audio tracks in advance and distribute them to theaters with barrier-free screening conditions for screening. Visually impaired people can purchase tickets to watch movies at 74 theaters in Beijing, Shanghai, Ningbo, Suzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu and other cities.
