A few days ago, the "Summer of Movies" 2024 summer film list conference hosted by the Central Propaganda Film Bureau was held in Beijing. A large number of new films that are both ideological, artistic and enjoyable have been released in the summer season, boosting the film market.
This summer's film list is divided into five major themed units:
The "Continuous Light and Shadow of the Chinese Spirit" section presents masterpieces of the times that continue the red blood, promote the Chinese spirit, and deepen the feelings of the family and the country. Among them, "Decryption" is adapted from the novel of the same name by the Mai family, telling the story of the mathematical genius Rong Jinzhen who fought for a lifetime on the hidden front; the revolutionary historical film " departure " leads the audience to follow the footsteps of young Mao Zedong's study tour and travel thousands of miles, and is passionate about a hundred years ago. The "Light and Shadow Expression of Chinese Stories" unit mainly includes realistic-themed works that reflect the people and things around the audience. Among them, " retrograde life " is derived from real interviews, focusing on the "delivery boy" group, telling the story of the protagonist Gao Zhilei who was fired by the company, faced with life difficulties, chose to become a delivery boy, and finally got out of the trough of life; "Cloud" "There's a Canteen Next to You" takes hometown as the theme and uses warm stories to praise family, love and friendship; " Laifu Hotel " revolves around a "patient home" that provides services such as accompanying doctors, picking up medicines, and helping with consultations. It unfolds to reflect the help of ordinary people; " Welcome to My Side " shows the beauty of friendship and love in a fantastic way.
The "Chinese Aesthetics Light and Shadow Painting" unit is a "national trend" work that absorbs the nutrients of China's excellent traditional culture and innovatively develops Chinese aesthetics. Among them, the animated film "White Snake" is the third part of the "White Snake" series, continuing the style of the first two parts, making the popular "White Snake" story once again resonate emotionally with the audience; "A Dream of Red Mansions: A Good Marriage" uses Modern film technology carefully polishes classic masterpieces, leading the audience to relive the joys and sorrows of the Grand View Garden; the Cantonese opera film "The Lady of Qiao" tells the story of "the first heroine" Xian Ying to safeguard national unity, and uses the art of light and shadow to innovate and inherit Cantonese opera culture; the animated film "Down to Earth" and "Umbrella Girl" integrate traditional Chinese artistic elements into beautiful images, showing a broad space for imagination.
The "China Innovative Light and Shadow Exploration" section brings together works that relentlessly pursue technological innovation, strive to create new audio-visual experiences, and reflect the progress of China's film industrialization. Among them, "Legend" uses artificial intelligence technology extensively to "restore" Jackie Chan's style at the age of 27 for the first time; "Under the Stranger" uses a creative method of live-action animation combined with artificial intelligence to create a dialogue between characters with different personalities and abilities. The war between the two worlds presents a shocking fantasy world.
The "China Market Global Sharing" unit is an international film that injects different cultural charms into the Chinese film market. Among them, "Despicable Me 4", "Deadpool and Wolverine" and "The Garfield Family" are new works launched by classic IP; "A Quiet Place: Invasion Day", "Jedi Men: Life and Death" and "Tornado" respectively have science fiction, adventure, Action elements and exciting plot; "Volleyball Boy!" ! "Junkyard Showdown", "Inside Out 2" and "Robot Dreams" are animated films with diverse styles.

We look forward to all parties working together and going all out to create a vibrant and steamy summer of movies and continue the booming trend of the Chinese film market.The person in charge of the movie channel, the organizer of the
press conference, said that this summer, the movie channel "m Movie Group" will link more than 30 theaters across the country to create tens of thousands of movie viewing activities covering 100 cities across the country. Currently, a series of exciting movie premiere roadshow promotion activities are being launched across the country, which will bring the movie-watching craze into thousands of households.
