On July 9, the sequel to the classic historical drama film "Gladiator 2" directed by Ridley Scott released its first trailer and multiple character posters!
David Scarpa (" Money World " and " Napoleon "), who has collaborated with Ridley Scott many times, is responsible for the script. The story still focuses on the cruel world of ancient Rome. Paul Mescal stars as Lucius, Commodius' nephew, who has lived in the "wilderness" for 15 years. Denzel Washington plays a wealthy businessman who controls both sides of the conflict. Joseph Queen plays the evil Emperor Geta, and Pedro Pascal plays a military commander. Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi return to their original film roles as Lucius' mother and Senator Gracchus respectively.
The story synopsis of "Gladiator 2": Lucius was sent to northern Africa by his mother Lucia when he was young, outside the jurisdiction of Rome, and lived a peaceful life. Until one day, the conquerors of the empire began to invade the place, captured her and sent her to the arena, where she confronted Lucia's husband, General Marcus Acassius, who had served under Maximus. A survival game begins!
The first part of "Gladiator" was released in 2000, with a global box office of US$295 million. The film's reputation is very good, with an imdb score of 8.5 and a Douban score of 8.6.
