The film is directed by Liu Jiangjiang (" Life Events "), starring Xiao Yang, Ayunga, Guli Nazha, Huang Xiaolei, and Yang En also stars. The film is adapted from real events. It is also Liu Jiangjiang's second challenge to realistic themes after "Life Events", focusing on human choices under disasters.
Synopsis of the story: Zheng Ligang (played by Xiao Yang), a death row inmate played by Xiao Yang, encountered a major earthquake on the way to the execution ground. The detention center collapsed into ruins. The serious prisoners seemed to have gained sudden "freedom", but in fact they had already Trapped in another purgatory!
Zheng Ligang wanted to return to his wife Mu Chuntao (played by Nazha) who was about to give birth, but he was blocked by a girl (played by Yang Enyou) who called for help. At the same time, detention center police officer Yu Chixiao (played by Ayunga) and doctor Bai Su'e (played by Huang Xiaolei) are unable to face post-disaster rescue operations independently and have to cooperate with prisoners. On one side is the struggle between kindness and selfishness, on the other side is the entanglement between responsibility and emotion. Everyone stands at a fork in the road of destiny.
It is worth mentioning that the crew of "Safety in and Out" has previously appeared at the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival, Weibo Night, and the 10th ellemen Movie Heroes. Several main creators also talked about their feelings about filming the film. Ayunga revealed that when he first received the invitation from director Liu Jiangjiang, he was performing in Shenzhen and could not fly back immediately to meet the director. After hearing about it, the director immediately bought a ticket and flew to Shenzhen to meet him and was very moved. Liu Jiangjiang said that the appearance of "Gazi" in this play is a surprise.
