"Danube Waves" is an international industrial drama based on the successful acquisition of the Smederevo Steel Plant in Serbia by Hebei Iron and Steel Group and showing the achievements of the "One Belt and One Road" construction. The whole play uses poetic language to tell the touching story of China and Serbia becoming friends through the integration of "feelings of family and country", and writing "China and Serbia are one family" on the banks of the Danube River.

All the characters in the play are played by actors born in the 1990s.
