Hualong News (Reporter Wu Lishuang) From June 13th to 16th, the 38th Hong Kong International Travel Show (referred to as the "Hong Kong Travel Show") was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The Chongqing Municipal Cultural Tourism Delegation went to Hong Kong to participate in the exhibition. This is the third time this year that a Chongqing cultural tourism group has gone to Hong Kong to carry out cultural tourism promotion, exchanges and cooperation.
It is reported that this year’s Hong Kong Travel Exhibition gathered about 500 exhibitors from more than 60 countries (regions), 20 more countries (regions) than in previous years, fully displaying the tourism resources and characteristic culture of the participating entities to the industry and the public respectively.
Hong Kong and Chongqing are each other’s important source markets for inbound tourism, and have huge potential for cooperation. During this visit, the Chongqing cultural and tourism delegation made full use of this international exchange and cooperation platform to carefully organize inbound tourism promotions and strive to enhance the international visibility and reputation of Chongqing's tourism brand image. Representatives from cultural and tourism enterprises such as Wulong District and Changshou District Culture and Tourism Committee and Chongqing Acrobatic Art Troupe also participated in the exhibition.
During the exhibition, the Chongqing exhibition area focused on displaying the overall image of Chongqing's cultural tourism through video playback, Chinese and English versions of tourist maps, foldouts, albums and other graphic materials. Wulong District and Changshou District respectively focused on major tourist attractions and cultural and creative intangible cultural heritage products such as Fairy Mountain, Tiansheng Third Bridge, Furong River, Changshou Lake, and Bodhi Ancient Town through theme promotions, interactive draws, etc., vividly demonstrating Chongqing’s characteristic culture. The Chongqing exhibition booth was well received by the audience and was awarded the "Most Popular Booth by Audiences" by the organizing committee. The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Commission said that Chongqing’s participation in the exhibition has further deepened the Hong Kong public’s understanding and recognition of Chongqing’s culture and tourism, and brought new cooperation opportunities for the development of bilateral inbound tourism.
