Buy and sell information through the Internet platform
Airline loopholes were exploited
During the review and handling of the case, the procuratorate also found that purchasing directly on the Internet and using airline loopholes for inquiries were the main ways for the defendant to illegally obtain star flight information .
On some Internet platforms, there is a large amount of sales and purchase information about celebrity flight itineraries. These information use obscure words or symbols and icons.
4 defendants searched for purchase information from previous sellers in places like this, and then traded in batches to people in need through WeChat. In addition, also has a considerable part of the flight information that the defendant directly checked on the airline's official website using the celebrity ID number he purchased.
Zheng Yi, prosecutor of the People's Procuratorate of Jing'an District, Shanghai: The earliest design of was actually to facilitate passengers to check their flight information, but it was later used by some criminals.
While handling the case, prosecutors learned that many airlines have been aware of the security risks in their query and management systems and have gradually improved and upgraded them. The prosecutor specifically reminded that it is illegal for to purchase citizensâ personal information.
At present, the public security organs are further digging into the upstream and downstream industrial chains involved in the case.
