. People came to listen with their children. Mr. Yang, an audience member, is a music enthusiast. He has attended concerts at the Sydney Opera House, the Vienna Golden Hall, and the Bolshoi Theater. The performance that night once again touched his heartstrings.
It seems like an Argentine tango with a red skirt and a strong jazz style.
The opening piece is Astor Piazzolla’s “Tango Magnificent”, a piano and cello work dedicated to one of the world’s greatest cellists, Rostropovich. The performer Fang Yaxin studied under Professor Tanya Remnikova, who is the direct disciple of Rostropovich. As a disciple, Fang Yaxin used this tango as the song for her first concert in her hometown. The first track is a tribute to his master Rostropovich, and also expresses her lifelong love for the art of cello.
In addition to the attraction of learning from extraordinary teachers, in this performance, Shao Wenjing, a teacher from the Composition Department of the Conservatory of Music of Shanxi University, boldly innovated and added a trombone part, known as the King of Jazz, to the original music, and invited Hou, a trombone teacher from the Conservatory of Music. Yu joins in this rendition of the tango. Fang Yaxin’s good friend, a pianist living in the United States and a doctor of cooperative piano, teacher Ge Zhiyi from the School of Art of Shandong University, serves as the cooperative piano.
