The drama "The Water of the Canglang" is adapted from Yan Zhen's novel of the same name. It is produced by the Hunan Provincial Performing Arts Group and created and presented by the Hunan Provincial Theater. The play tells the life experience of Chi Dawei, the first graduate student after the resumption of the college entrance examination, and shows his process from being jobless and powerless to gradually assuming a leadership position. The play started planning and production in 2018 and was performed in June of the same year. It has been 7 years now. It has been selected as a project funded by the National Arts Fund three times and won the "Cao Yu Script Nomination Award". It has been performed 69 times so far.
